Div. 01 — Custom design + fabrication / Primary focus
The one‑off,
done right.
Custom design and fabrication is the core of Fyntund — engineering-first builds for clients whose requirements outgrow the average contractor. Fifteen years of taking the projects other shops pass on.
The projects that
get passed around.
There’s a class of project that never finds a home: too much engineering for the carpenter, too much finish for the welder, too custom for the cabinet shop. That’s the work we take.
A rooftop kitchen that has to manage fire and weather. A 5th-wheel garage that has to carry more while weighing less. A built-in that has to disappear into hundred-year-old millwork. Fifteen years of design-build fabrication means the hard questions get asked first — loads, weight budgets, thermal behavior, moisture, movement, serviceability — and answered in CAD before anything is cut. What leaves the shop fits, functions, and finishes like it was always meant to be there.
Outdoor kitchens + exterior living
An outdoor kitchen is a small building with fire in it, and we treat it that way: engineered structure, real ventilation and clearances around appliances, utilities routed to be serviced — not buried — and materials chosen to shrug off sun, salt, and rain. The result cooks hard and still looks architectural a decade in.

RV, trailer + 5th‑wheel systems
Storage and garage build-outs where every pound counts against payload. We design to a weight budget: aluminum and composite construction, load-rated mounting into actual chassis structure, and hardware selected for a life of vibration and washboard roads. Capacity gained, capability kept.

Cabinetry + millwork
High-end custom cabinetry and millwork held to the standard set by the room it enters. New work is site-measured, scribed in place, and grain- and finish-matched — so an addition reads as original and a one-off reads as intentional.

Commissioned furniture
One-off furniture designed around a client and a space — a single piece, engineered and built once. Material, joinery, and proportion are decided with you; execution is held to the standard of the drawing.

One shop,
many hands.
The person you scope the project with is the person engineering it — and the person standing behind it.
Fyntund is principal-led. In-house capability covers design, engineering, and fabrication across wood, metal, and composites; a vetted network of specialist fabricators — machining, finishing, glass, stone, upholstery — extends that reach without diluting the standard. One point of contact, one drawing set, one level of accountability.
